Go from Curious to Observer. Join Hervé at his RICE observation site for an evening dedicated to wonder. Together, you'll journey through the constellations and observe the treasures of the Universe up close. The simple pleasure of observation is all that matters.

Your evening's program (duration: approximately 1.5 to 2 hours) includes: Instrument Handling: Learn the basics of using a telescope. Guided Observation: Explore the season's notable celestial objects (planets, globular clusters, nebulae, galaxies). You will see these wonders through a powerful instrument, with commentary from your guide. Star Charting and Navigation: Master reading star charts and using navigation tools to locate the main constellations and easily observable objects on your own. Q&A: A dedicated time to answer all your questions about the sky, equipment, or astrophotography. This program takes place directly at our observation site adjacent to the gîte Les Esperelles, minimizing travel and maximizing your time under the stars.

Book your accommodation: First, check the availability of your chosen accommodation (Les Esperelles or L'Escapade Cévenole). You are free to choose your accommodation, but the introductory course is easier at Les Esperelles. Add your Astronomy Experience: When booking, specify if you would like the Advanced Introduction package (€100). Important Note: The price of our packages is separate from the cost of the accommodation.
