2023 – 52 mins – FIFO Distribution – France / French version
Two little girls wander off from a picnic. They stop in front of an island of life: a cowpat. Insects are swarming about. They wonder about the holes in some of the cowpats. Their investigation leads them to discover the dung beetle. From egg to adult, we follow its transformations. From the cow-dung sculptor to games played with cow-dung, we discover the fascination that cow-dung holds for people. However, many farmers administer a worming treatment to their herds which ends up intact in the dung, killing the insects. Others are developing alternative methods. Three farmers share their experiences.
