truly scenic trail: a climb towards Pauparelle, revealing the rooftops of Meyrueis nestled one inside the other… then a splendid view of the Jonte gorges, bordered by the Causse Méjean plateau and the Aigoual massif. As for the trail running experience, it's a complete package: over these 12 km you'll find a beautiful, continuous climb (300m of elevation gain in 2 km), followed by a more runnable section, a descent with some technical sections, some enjoyable short, steep climbs, and a paved finish.
Practical Advice
Adapt your equipment to the day's weather conditions and remember that the weather can change quickly in the Cévennes. Bring water and food as needed. Make sure to close all gates and fences securely.
