Check the weather forecast. Choose your route based on your skill level and equipment. Inform someone of your itinerary. Pack enough water and food for your needs and the chosen route. Obey the rules of the road. Be sure to carry enough water, especially during hot weather. Water sources are rather scarce. Also, be aware of the weather conditions on this route, as the passage at Puech des Bondons can be unpredictable in autumn when it's windy from the north! ?? Don't forget a light sweater in your bag! ??
