Information
We leave Meyrueis, a town built at the confluence of three rivers, for an immersion in the beech forest with its sometimes twisted trunks, alternating with alpine meadows. In addition to the view from the summit, the hike also offers panoramas of the Causses, and the Brèze and Béthuzon valleys.
Practical Advice
Adapt your equipment to the day's weather conditions. Remember that the weather changes quickly in the mountains. Be sure to bring plenty of water, good shoes, and a hat. Close all gates and fences securely. Be aware of the livestock guardian dog (Patou) at the summit of Mont Aigoual: follow the instructions on appropriate behavior.
